This song was running through my head all of last week and this - so just came here and fulfilled my need for GRUNGE!!!!

Growing Up and Getting Smarter!!!!

Its like this, growing up is inevitable... becoming smarter is optional!!!

And NOW (believe it) NOW I think I am becoming smarter about the ways of the world...

AND now I am smarter than what I used to be - making all the right decisions at the right time.. and when the time is right, I will be responsible enough as well to finally settle down.. as much as I would like to believe I am ready, unless someone thinks I am actually responsible enough, I am not gonna find anyone to settle down with!!!

But you know what, turns out that is not a problem anymore since I am responsible!!

Alright - SO here is what is going to happen finally - I am gonna find me a girl and settle down - and why am I doing this?? Because I have been ready for a long time now and I just want it right now.. I wanna settle down as soon as possible.

What awaits me when I do settle down?? I am not aware, but I will and it will be a fantastic journey since I will not be alone!!! :)

Time - just flying by!!

So, its just going past!!! I was on pownce today, as usual, and they have this theme running for friends only who wanna watch.. its a photo a day to showcase their life - so to speak... a lot of people have that running...

and they have to number their photographs according to the day they took it...

the focus of this is not the pownce trail... its the fact that I counted and at last count I have lived 9730 days!!! can you beat that??

I know every day I am beating that exact record... and its exhilirating sometimes....

The last few months have been very confusing for me... I am barely aware of the time gone by, but each day is so Frickin slow, its like torture (slower than Iron Maiden - not the band - the torture device)

So i am left confused...

In view of the latest trends followed worldwide - I have decided to go two point oh too :)

The first step in that direction was to change the weblink to my blog... it is now http://blog.parthasrinivasan.com :) and I am updating my website - there are a few glitches - I am trying to iron them out - and will be up by end of the week provided I have the time in the evenings to work on it...

I am open to suggestions and comments (bricks and bats will be constructively worked on, if at all)

I am a changed person - an upgrade if you please!! I am bigger better and more focussed in life...

But I guess that will be determined over time...

Everyone is a possible victim

I was seeing "Life in a... Metro" the other day on home theater. The movie did not do so well at the Box Office, but it was a fairly reasonably well done movie.

The movie revolves loosely around 9 people and forms a pretty simple to follow theme, of deceit and unhappiness. Eventually, its not happily ever after, its a realistic movie with a very realistic ending.

I give it about 2 1/2 stars, from 5. its a must watch at least once, since its a perspective on how chauvinistic Kay Kay is in the movie, to how opportunistic Shiney Ahuja is, to how overwhelmed Nafisa, Dharmendra, and Shilpa Shetty are about love.

The music is well fitted and blends well into the movie. My favorite song - Alvidaa:



All in all, its a nice production, with extensive backing from the UTV network.

Must watch at least once!!

The stars have truly reached ground zero

And they are here to drive the most unthought thoughts into us common people.

Taare Zameen Par - a movie far beyond excellence.... brings the thought of so many family level issues.

Here is a preview of the life lived by almost all families now. I identified with it...



This is the main problem. Every one does not have time to settle down and look back and see.

About the movie. The movie has been made very proficiently, detailing the characters to a "T" very effectively, the theory of Dyslexia being put across very effectively. This is a social, emotional and psychological disorder faced the world over. There are a fw movies, a load of books but all internationally. Nothing India. For the first time (I may be wrong), an Indian has championed this and so effectively that it has left an impression in everyones brain.


The film has been done brilliantly, educates the Indian masses who are normally oblivious to these issues ala Nandkishore Awasthi and brings to light a reality. This paves the way for not only Dyslexia but also all learning disorders that exist.

The movie has been further given a boost by government, when given the "Tax-Free" status.

Your thoughts on this???

It's a hap-hap-Happy New Year :)

I have new found respect for New Year bashes!!! I may be 26 years old and a workaholic in the making but I do know how to have fun.

And this time for New Year I had all my limbs in place and a girlfriend and load of booze (which I bought) - so I thought I may have a little fun (little did I know)!!!

So I reached home and arranged the bottles of booze on the table and prepared for a long night. My parents had invited all their friends over along with their offspring(s). I was dreading it and was hoping that it would get over soon and was happy that my girlfriend had decided to join me in my misery (little did she know)!!!

So anyway. My brother arrived shortly after and we cracked open the bottle of Tequila (some Mexican import - Golden) at about 9:30 pm and wiped it out by 11:00 (intermittently) but all three of us wiped it out!!! And we were smashed (D-UH) :) quite happily. My brother was also bartending and I was designated waiter, and my grilfriend the kitchen assistant. So anyway when we ran out of Tequila, we decided to have cognac and choc liquer shots man those really helped a LOT!!!! So we did nto even realise when the clock was about to strike 12 and time to go down to the open space to bring in the new year by burning the old man effigee!!! MOST amazing feeling. When the clock struck 12, I had the most important people in my life next to me and nothing to replace the feeling....

After the clock struck 12 and we dispensed with the wishing's, we headed homeward to continue the party. We started the music and all of my parents friends started dancing. Now imagine if you will several 40+ slightly overweight extremely drunk people moving their bodies to the rhythm of the music. 'twas brilliant!!! I have videos, shall ask my brother for them videos and upload them soon!!!

We danced till about 2:30 3:00 when people realised oops!! we have to go home!! but it was brilliant.

But that was it!!
